The Danish
Folk, Blues & Ragtime Guitar Festival is an |
event that
tries to incorporate the concept of sustainability. |
This means that we try to goal
set, act & inform about |
especially environmental issues
pertaining to the Festival. |
Even an innocent, seemingly quiet
and relaxing activity like |
that of playing the guitar do
have an environmetal impact... |

v
Environmentally Friendly Guitar Manufacturing |
From an environmentally point of view on a scale the |
absolutely worst way of producing guitars are seen in |
the
large carbon based factories in Korea and China, |
the
abolutely best way is seen by small independent |
luthiers who builds their guitars from reclaimed woods. |
In
between these two extremes we find most of current |
guitar manufacturers existing today. Envrionmetally |
friendly production means looking at the
entire product |
life cycle in order to minimize envrionmental
impacts. |
