Environmental issues

The Danish Folk, Blues & Ragtime Guitar Festival is an

event that tries to incorporate the concept of sustainability.

This means that we try to goal set, act & inform about

especially environmental issues pertaining to the Festival.

Even an innocent, seemingly quiet and relaxing activity like

that of playing the guitar do have an environmetal impact...

     v Environmentally Friendly Guitar Manufacturing

From an environmentally point of view on a scale the

absolutely worst way of producing guitars are seen in

the large carbon based factories in Korea and China,

the abolutely best way is seen by small independent

luthiers who builds their guitars from reclaimed woods.

In between these two extremes we find most of current

guitar manufacturers existing today. Envrionmetally

friendly production means looking at the entire product

life cycle in order to minimize envrionmental impacts.
