SALMON CATCH STATISTICS - RIVER SKJERN

By the river Skjern it is required that all catches of salmons be
registered no later than 4 days after a salmon has been caught.
This rule applies to all - fishing Association members as well as
fishermen buying a daybased fishing license.

Since, at the moment, the fishing authorities would like to build
a bigger and more sustainable stock of salmons certain quotas
are in place by this river allowing only 1 salmon per year per
angler if the fish is above 75 cm, if below 2 salmons per year is
        permitted.

Season runs from 1. April until 30. September 2012

   UPDATED SALMON CATCHES

Most of the fishing associations along the river Skjern are
collaborating in order to improve river conditions and
fishing. The name of this organization is The River Skjern
   Joint Association (Skjernasammenslutningen in Danish).
They publizise catches on an on-line real-time basis so
that it is possible to monitor developments.
