Each year many hundreds of salmon are caught in the river with some weighing above 15 kg and with an impressive average weight of 5,8 kg. The river Skjern is mostly easily fished, Fly, fishing, spin fishing and fishing with natural baits are all common methods. Nylon lines should be no less than 0,35 mm and a good lenght of the rod is recommended - for fly rods this means a min. of 10 feet. July and August ususally sees an upward swing in catches so if you are a fisherman besides being interested in acoustic guitar playing don't miss this chance...! |
