This travel offer gives you the opportunity
to fish the top 3 rivers in Denmark for
salmon and seatrout - rivers Varde, Skjern,
and Guden, each with its own charms and
characteristics. Your accomodation is
provided for in good hotels close to the
river (single room, breakfast included), a
guide to fishing the rivers & maps, freezing
capacity available. State permits and all
fishing licenses are provided for by us and
included in the price. You only provide for
your own fishing gear and transportation
You begin your salmon fishing journey by fishing 3 days in river Varde.
This river is a beautiful example of a westcoast river with excellent
opportunities for both salmon and seatrout. A map will guide you for
fishing the river beats i.e. where and when to locate the fish. You stay
at hotel Varde, a hotel well súited to accomodate anglers.
About 60 km from Varde you find river Skjern, probably the most well
known Danish salmon river. You are accomodated at Skarrildhus near
the banks of the river - the perfect spot. The season 2005 was the best
in decades with salmons up to 15,3 kg caught and bigger ones lost !!
The river is ideal both for fly and spin fishing and surrounded by a
maginificent landscape....
River Guden is your final destination where you stay at Madsens hotel in
Bjerringbro. River Guden has constantly provided for the largest number
of salmons caught in Danish rivers so your chances for getting in touch
with both salmon and seatrout are excellent. Salmons enter the river from
mid april until October 31 with peaks in september and october. Flyfishing
is used extensively at the upper beats while spin fishing is common
at the middle and lower parts of the river.
Denmark is reknowed for its good seatrout fishing along our coasts
as well as in our rivers. This tour gives you the opportunity to fish
for seatrouts in both places. You start out with 3 days along some of
the finest saltwater hot spots along the coasts of Funen. Moves on
to 4 days of seatrout fishing in river Karup and ends up with another
2 days of seatrout/salmon fishing in river Varde. According to this
suggestion we have found good hotels with breakfast included.
Practicalities i.e. fishing licenses, maps etc. is all provided for by
us. All you have to do is enjoy the fishing....

The places to fish depends to some extent
where fish are located in the river. We try
to optimize your chances and instead of
fishing beats where the chances of fish are
minimal we will try findt beats with a fair
forecast for you...
You will most likely bring your own fishing
equipment. If not you can rent the various
gears used through REDTAG. We supply
you with a list where you can pick out the
rods etc. to be rented.
If you are looking for low budget travelling offers we can provide you
with some suggestions. One week of salmon and seatrout fishing
in river Varde is one such opportunity. Here you are accomodated in
a good 4 bed cabin with toilet & shower, bed sheets, towels and
breakfast included as well as state licence, fishing permits and
information materials for EUR 520,- per person. You provide for
your own transportation and no fishing guiding is included. You
are, however, welcome to ask all the questions you might have...
